  • A road trip to Hays for an exhibition match up with Fort Hays State University roughed up Central Christian College Wednesday night, as the Tigers fell 94-39. The Central men were outmatched from the start, as Fort Hays rolled with 17-of-39 shooting from the field in the first half, while the Tigers only managed six field goals out of 27 attempts, all six coming in the paint. The Tigers went into halftime trailing 46-19. The second half wasn’t any prettier, as Central Christian could only connect on 27.59 percent of the their shots, while Fort Hays shot 58.06 percent from the field in the second half. Additionally, FHSU shot 66.67 percent from distance, compared to only 27.27 percent for CCC. For the game, Fort Hays shot 50 percent from the field, while Central shot only 25 percent. The turnover battle was just as lopsided, as the Tigers coughed up the ball 20 times to only eight for Fort Hays, who moves to 3-2 on the year. For Central, Chris Jones picked up a double double with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Kris Quant was the only other Tiger in double digits with 12. Central stays at 9-0 on the year, as the exhibition game does not count on its record. Next action for the Tigers is a Saturday showdown with Drury University.
