The win streak continues for the Tiger men. CCC went on the road Tuesday night and defeated Manhattan Christian College 67-48 to push their record to 10-0.
The Tigers came out and played tough defense and quickly raced out to a 11-0 lead to start the game. The Crusaders eventually knocked down a couple of baskets, but the remained under 10 points until midway through the first half. The Tigers continued the defensive pressure and took a 13 point lead into the break 31-18.
In the second half, the Crusaders caught fire from behind the three point arc and raced out to a 11-0 run to start the half. Coach Romero called time out, and the Tigers regrouped.
As they did in the first half, the Tigers used defensive pressure to force the Crusaders into several turnovers and tough contested shots. CCC extended their lead back to double digits midway through the second half and continued to put the pressure on.
At the final horn, the Tigers left the court with a 19 point lead, the same point spread as the game in McPherson a month ago.
Christopher Jones led all scorers with 16 points. He also had a monster night on the glass with 15 rebounds. Aaron Cannon and Aaron Miller were also in double figures for the Tigers with 14 and 10 points respectively.
The Tigers come back home on Saturday for a 5 p.m. game against Ozark Christian College.
