-December 26 is National Candy Cane Day in the United States
-Paul Ghinelli created the world’s largest candy cane, measuring 58 feet, 2 ¼ inches
-1.76 billon candy canes are made each year – enough to stretch from Santa Claus, Indiana, to North Pole, Alaska, and back again 32 times
And here’s a sobering fact from the American Library Association:
-Americans spend nearly three times as much on candy as on public libraries
