Donald Raymond (Chuck) Milleson, 84, of McPherson, passed away at 11:35 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, peacefully while in the company of family members, at his home.
Chuck was born on his parents farm, rural Gypsum, on Nov. 23, 1928, the son of Madgalene “Madge” (Davis) and Charles Henry Milleson.
Chuck attended an area country school and graduated from Gypsum High School, Gypsum, in 1949.
Chuck was a member of First United Methodist Church McPherson.
Chuck started working for Kit Manufacturing Company / Road Ranger as a employee and through the years, he served as a foreman, and was the purchasing agent at the time of his retirement. Chuck then worked for Cartridge King in McPherson and distributed product to government agencies and universities through out the state.
Donald R. “Chuck” Milleson was united in marriage to Edna Lamer on Aug. 20, 1949, at Salina.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of more than 63 years, Edna Milleson, of McPherson; his children, Michael Milleson and wife Martha, of Leavenworth, Robertta Sechler, of McPherson, and Brent Milleson and wife Nyla, of Springfield, Mo.; his sisters, Maxine Swan, of Harrison, Ark., Donna Jean Hinnant, of Phoenix, Ariz., and Betty Hartford of Clinton, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Valerye Milleson, Dylan Sechler, Barrett Milleson, and Caylor Milleson; one great-granddaughter, Nahla Bae Sechler; several nieces and nephews other relatives and a host of friends.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Madge Milleson; his brothers, Walter and Herbert Milleson; one sister, Juanita Brunk; two sons Ricky Allen and Randy Lee Milleson; and a daughter, Sherry Lou Milleson.
Memorial service will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 22 at the First United Methodist Church, McPherson, Kan., with Reverend Darren Fraizer and Reverend Harold Nelson officiating.
Interment of cremated remains will be at the Gypsum Hill Cemetery Salina at a later date.
