Plans to increase trash rates for the 2013 year by 25 or 26 cents per cart per month were announced during the Dec. 17 Inman City Council meeting.
The increased rate will go into effect Jan. 1.
The city’s contribution to KPERS will increase to 13.43 percent in January 2013, up from the current 8.34 percent.
In other business:
• The zoning commission approved a case to zone the final plat of Wes Dirks’ land. The county will zone it and issue the building permit.
• The zoning commission approved a motion to reappoint Lyle Achilles, Steve Rife and Shivawn Schierling to the zoning commission for additional three-year terms.
• Bobby Herron of the Inman Police Department reported a 2013 Chevy Tahoe should be delivered in late December or early January.
• The council will meet with the Inman Board of Education at 7 p.m. Jan. 28 at the Inman High School library. Incentives for new housing will be discussed.
