• Family activities during holiday vacation

  • Holiday vacations often mean more time with family.
    Although gift opening and eating might be on the list of to-do's, the second hand on the clock may seem to tick a little slower for the remainder of the week. This free time is an opportunity to do the simple things in life that get pushed aside during the hustle and bustle of everyday living.

      Christmas break activities
      Today, cookies and other food will be sold until 3 p.m. at McPherson Hospital.
      At 8 tonight, Mac Pack will be playing live music at The Well (101 N. Main).
      Multi-Community Diversified Services will have its light display at 2107 Industrial Drive.
      Winter Wonderland will have train rides from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at 317 E. Seitz.
      Today and Saturday, McPherson Convention and Visitor's Bureau will offer holiday light trolley tours at 6, 7 and 8 p.m.
      On Dec. 22, The Clayworks at Disability Supports (107 N. Main St.) will host cookies and photos with Santa from 9 to 10:30 a.m.
      On Christmas day, the 16th Annual Community Christmas Dinner (122 E. Marlin) will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the McPherson Community Building for those who have made reservations at 241-1292 by Saturday.
      n Bethany Lutheran Church in Lindsborg, (320 N. Main St.), will host Julotta at 5:30 p.m. A brass quartet and a Swedish-style worship will commence.
      On Dec. 26, Santa will be roving downtown Lindsborg.
      n At 10 a.m. Bethany Lutheran Church will also be hosting Annandag Jul, a service in English and Swedish.
