Public works of McPherson has begun a project at the corner of Woodside and Main to increase the radius of a curve into the nearby Cereal Food Processors.
Public works director Tom Whitacre said the radius increase will help with the flow of traffic in and out of the mills, as well as provide wider turning capability for incoming and outgoing trucks.
The project involves the replacement of two Americans with Disabilities Act ramps, storm sewer modifications and street patching.
The project is expected to be finished at the end of next week.
Whitacre said the project is also part of the preparation for a street overlay project for Main Street planned next year.
