Christmas in the city that never sleeps, written from the Empire State Building. I'm not a travel writer but I do have the greatest experiences to share from my travels. This trip has so far led me to; meet Miss Virginia 1960 and her daughter on a flight where my charm got us free wine from the male attendant, hug a disabled Dominican Republic man at the corner store by where my son lives in Brooklyn, give money to lots of homeless and the working poor (part of my 26 acts of kindness in honor of Sandy Hook), spoke Portuguese to the breakfast lady at The Americas Cup Inn in Newport RI, chuckled at the name Sandwich Massachusetts, been told that when I buy one sweatshirt I get one flea, met a 90 yr old man named Ed Strum who frequents coffee shops and still feels holding a news paper or book in your hands is the only way to go, and last but not least and by far not even a close representation of this trips experiences, had my picture taken under the Mystic Pizza Sign in Mystic Connecticut! Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah from New York City USA.
