Canton-Galva pairings announced

The seeds and pairings have been announced for next week’s Canton-Galva boys’ basketball tournament, with undefeated Bennington claiming the top spot.

The Bulldogs (9-0) will face the host Canton-Galva Eagles (0-9), the tournament’s eighth seed, at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the final game of the first day.

The first round will be split up over Monday and Tuesday, with No. 5 Southeast of Saline (6-3) facing No. 4 Sedgwick (6-3) in the 6 p.m. game Monday.

Tuesday’s games will feature seventh seed St. John Military Academy (1-4) taking on No. 2 seed Rock Creek in the 6 p.m. game.

The late game Tuesday will see No. 3 Wichita Home (7-3) squaring off with sixth seeded Ell-Saline (3-5) at 7:30 p.m.

The tournament will pick back up on Thursday, with the consolation games being played at 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., respectively.

The Winners’ bracket gets under way at 6 p.m., with the final game Thursday to be played at 7:30 p.m.

Friday’s games will be played at 3 p.m., 4:30 p.m., 6 p.m., and 7:30 p.m.

All games will be played at Canton-Galva High School.
