Beth Ann King, 38, of McPherson, passed away unexpectedly at 6:37 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 10, at her home.
Beth was born on Feb. 26, 1974, in Fort Smith, Ark., the daughter of Michelle (Dunn), and Billy Jack “BJ” Smith Jr.
Beth attended Washington Elementary School, McPherson Middle School and McPherson High School.
Through the years Beth worked as a waitress for Red Coach Inn and currently for Montana Mikes, also worked for Wal-Mart and as a machine attendant for Ferguson Production.
Beth was united in marriage to Darryl Ryan King on Aug. 4, 2012 in McPherson.
Surviving family members include her husband Darryl King, of McPherson; her daughters Madison Ricks, of Hillsboro, and Isabell Jones, of Lehigh; her mother Michelle Smith, of McPherson; her father B. J., Smith and his wife Pam, of Little River; her sister Amy Strella and her husband Darren, of Pace, Fla.; her brother Chris Smith and his wife Holly, of Hutchinson; her paternal grandmother Jettie Smith, of Sallisaw, Okla.; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Beth was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather Billy Jack Smit Sr.; her maternal grandparents, LaVonne Sanow and Frank Dunn.
Friends are invited to call from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday Jan. 13, 2013 at Glidden-Ediger Chapel, McPherson.
Funeral service will be held at New Hope Evangelical Church, McPherson, Kansas, at 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 14, with Pastor Jim Keil officiating.
Burial will be at the McPherson Cemetery McPherson.
