  • Central men bounce back with 68-65 win over Haskell

  • Less than 24 hours after opening up MCAC play with a 77-65 loss to the College of the Ozarks, the Central Christian men were back on the court Saturday, this time against Haskell Indian Nations University.

  • Less than 24 hours after opening up MCAC play with a 77-65 loss to the College of the Ozarks, the Central Christian men were back on the court Saturday, this time against Haskell Indian Nations University.
    The Tigers trailed the Indians at halftime 34-32, but surged in the second half, coming from behind to win 68-65.
    Chris Jones responded to a so-so game against the Bobcats Friday night by pouring in 23 points and picking up his sixth double double of the year by also snagging 14 rebounds.
    Mike Lyons and Kaelon Gary added 12 points in the Central win.
    Stand Lovato led Haskell with 18 points.
    The Tigers are 12-3 on the year and are 1-1 in the MCAC. Central is back home tonight, hosting York College, who knocked them out of the MCAC conference tournament last year. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
