Doug Moody, 56, of McPherson, passed away at 1:24 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 16, while in the company of his fiancÚ, at McPherson Hospital.
Doug Moody, 56, of McPherson, passed away at 1:24 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 16, while in the company of his fiancé, at McPherson Hospital.
Doug was born on April 1, 1956, in Wichita, a son of Edna J. (Lucero) Hilgenfeld and William C. Moody.
Doug attended the Lincoln grade school, Park School, McPherson Junior High and McPherson High School, McPherson.
Through the years, Doug was a charter worker for Pizza Hut, was a welder for several businesses in town, and in Pawhuska, Okla.
Doug enjoyed bowling, fishing, riding his motorcycle and spending time with his friends.
He is survived by his fiancé Cherie Reel, of McPherson; his children, James Dean “Bo” Moody and his wife Ashley, of Stroud, Okla., Daughter Buffy A. Pruett and her husband Chris, of Edmond, Okla., and Christie S. White, of Ponca City, Okla.; his mother Edna J. Hilgenfeld, of McPherson; his sisters, Kimberly Abbey and her husband Kelly, of Wichita, Marilyn Moore and her husband Clint, of Wellington, and Anna Ruxlow and her husband Tom, of McPherson; he is also survived by his 13 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Doug was preceded in death by his father, William C. Moody; and a brother Wesley A. Moody.
Private family service will be in Oklahoma at a later date.
