  • The Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services has launched a new website dedicated to helping Kansans with their future long-term service and supports needs. The webpage is www.ksadrc.org. It guides residents on how to use the new statewide Aging and Disability Resource Center.
“The website is a great place for families and caregivers to learn more about their options,” Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services Secretary Shawn Sullivan said. “We look forward to working with the Aging and Disability Resource Center to give families peace of mind.”
The Aging and Disability Resource Center is taking calls from Kansans — providing information and referrals. Aging and Disability Resource Center staff members are trained to put residents in contact with local options counselors. Organization officials said they want to empower older adults and persons with disabilities to make informed choices about their services and supports. Referrals include a wide range of in-home, community-based and institutional services.
Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services recently signed a contract with the Southwest Kansas Area Agency on Aging to become the Aging and Disability Resource Center. The state’s 10 Area Agencies on Aging serve as local Aging and Disability Resource Centers.
On the new website, Kansans will find an Aging and Disability Resource Center location map and learn more about how the Aging and Disability Resource Center can help them.
