In the boys’ tilt, Elyria held on for a 28-24 win over Goessel Junior High. Eighth grader William Unruh once again led the Eagle charge with nine points.

The win moves the boys to 9-3 on the year and increased their current win streak to four games.

The Elyria girls saw their own three-game win streak snapped 44-17.

The Eagles fall to 4-8 on the year.

Both squads are at home Monday against Home, with a spot in the postseason playoffs on the line for the girls.

The boys, meanwhile, will try for the top seed.
