Elyria JH cagers end season with split

The Elyria Christian School Junior High basketball teams completed their regular season Monday by splitting with Hope Junior High.

The girls were a 25-16 winner behind leading scorer Abbey Rush. The eighth grader had a trio of three-pointers in the win.

The boys fell 35-21. Elyria finished with a 9-4 record.

The Wheatstate Junior League junior high playoffs start Thursday and will be played in Solomon.
