  • The Central Christian College women’s struggles continued Tuesday night, as they fell 60-37 to Southwestern Christian university in MCAC action.
    The Tigers trailed at halftime 38-22, shooting only 27.6 percent from the floor. Central’s shooting woes continued in the second half, where they shot only 6-of-31 for 19.4 percent in the loss.
    The Eagles also controlled the glass better, out-rebounding Central 60-43 in the contest.
    “We are still struggling offensively,” Central coach Robert Lancaster said.  We need to do a better job of executing.”
    Harley Pate had a great game with 15 points, the only Tiger to score double-digits. Brooke Rhodes only scored six, but she did pick up 10 rebounds for Central.
    Jordan Gooch led Southwestern with 12 points. Porchea Sanders added 11.
    Central is back home for the next four games starting Friday, when they host Oklahoma Wesleyan  at 5:30 p.m.
