  • All sheep and lamb inventory in Kansas on Jan. 1, 2013, totaled 65,000 head, down 7 percent from last year. This is the lowest number of sheep and lambs on record for Kansas.
    Breeding sheep inventory, at 42,000 head, was down 5 percent from Jan. 1, 2012.
