  • The Elyria Christian School boys’ and girls’ basketball teams were in action Thursday against Burrton, with the girls winning 38-29 and the boys falling 44-37.

  • The Elyria Christian School boys’ and girls’ basketball teams were in action Thursday against Burrton, with the girls winning 38-29 and the boys falling 44-37.
    The girls jumped out to a 17-5 half time lead, but a second half surge from Burrton allowed the Chargers to close the gap.
    Rachel Adamyk led all scorers with 12 points.
    The Lady Eagles are 9-6 on the year.
    In the boys’ contest,  Burrton got off to a hot start, leading 23-10 after the first quarter. The Eagles controlled the tempo the rest of the game, but the first quarter deficit was too much to overcome.
    Ethan Price led all scorers with 16 for Elyria, who falls to 2-13.
    The Eagles host St. Xavier tonight in Elryia’s homecoming game.
