Neither team shot well in the first half, with the Swedes going 8-of-26 from the floor and 3-of-11 from behind the arc. Bethany was also 4-of-4 from the foul line.
In comparison, the Braves went 8-of-29 from the field, making only 2-of-12 from distance.
Ottawa had no foul shots in the first half.
The second half saw more of the same, with foul shooting for Bethany making all the difference in the win.
The Swedes were 8-of-24 from the field and a mere 1-of-4 from distance in the second half.
The Braves shot 8-of-28 from the floor in the second half, and were 4-of-13 from behind the arc.
However, Bethany went 13-of-16 from the foul line in the half, while Ottawa was only 5-of-8 at the charity line.
Rebounding was just as close, with Bethany having a slight 38-33 advantage.
Tanya Garner led all scorers with 13 points for Bethany. Tasha Wagoner added 11.
Mikayla Skidmore was the only Brave in double digits with 11 points. Amber Ramsey had 10 points.
Bethany moves to 4-19 on the season and 3-10 in KCAC play. They are next in action tomorrow eveing as they travel to Winfield to face Southwestern.
Tip off is slated for 5 p.m.
