The McPherson County Extension Council has scheduled the Annual Cow-Calf School for 6 p.m. Feb. 19 at the Covenant Church in Lindsborg.
The local program committee members have recruited two topics for this year's program. K-State Veterinarian, Dr. Bob Larson, will speak on supplemental feeding cows and heifers on low quality forages and Katie Sawyer will speak on agriculture advocacy.
The group also will hear from Wade Hull, with the McPherson Fire Department. He will provide information on the county regulations regarding open burning.
“The evening should prove to be an enjoyable night with good food, good friends and good information,” a news release said.
The meal cost is supplemented by several local sponsors, and is $5 per person for a baked steak meal. Make your reservations by calling the Extension Office at 620-241-1523 by Feb. 15.
