Joyce Ann Shultis, 76, of McPherson, Kan., passed away at 6:30 a.m., Sunday, Feb. 3, peacefully, at Sterling House, McPherson.
Joyce was born on June 9, 1936, in McPherson, a daughter of Lillian Irene (Holcomb) and Kenneth Charles Neuenschwander.
Joyce attended the Sunny Glen country school and graduated from Canton High School, Canton, in 1954. She later attended Brown Mackie Business College, Salina.
She was a member of Countryside Covenant Church McPherson, where Joyce has served her church through the years in many capacities.
Joyce was a homemaker and worked at McPherson College Business Department, Certain-Teed Corporation as a customer service representative, part-time at K-Mart.
Surviving family members include her children, Colleen Woker and her husband Curtis, of McPherson, Robert Shultis and his wife Marsha, of Galva, and Allen Shultis and his wife Candy, of Marquette; her siblings, Lucille Matta, of Biloxi, Miss., Kay Zimmerman, of McPherson, Jim Neuenschwander and his wife Rowana, of Oklahoma City, and Verda Culbertson and her husband George, of Port Allen, La.; her 11 grandchildren, Ray Woker and wife Teresa, Roger Woker and wife Tabby, Heather Krehbiel and husband Joe, Evangeline Shultis, Tenille Shultis, Clayton Shultis, Wesley Shultis, Cody Alstatt, Chendra Mitchell and husband Brian, Karissa Shultis, and Caitlin Alstatt; her 10 great-grandchildren, Jordan Woker, Taylor Woker, Xavior Woker, Allen Woker, Kathy Woker, Everette Krehbiel and a baby boy Krehbiel on the way, Kaison Shultis, Elise Shultis, Braylon Mitchell, and Brooklyn Mitchell; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Ted Neuenschwander, a sister, Lou Davis; and a grandson, Joshua Allen Shultis.
Friends are invited to call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, with family present from 5 to 7 p.m. at Glidden-Ediger Chapel, McPherson.
Graveside Service of cremated remains will be at 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8 at the McPherson Cemetery, McPherson, with Reverend Jon Black officiating.
