LINDSBORG — The Viking boys kept pace with Hillsboro for all four quarters Tuesday night in front of a home crowd, but just couldn’t quite get over the hump, falling 41-35.
Andy Osner led all scorers with 18 points in the loss. Shaq Thiessen led Hillsboro with 13, while Brett Weinbrenner added 12.
Smoky Valley will travel to Kingman Friday evening.
CANTON — The Wildcat boys scored 20 points in each of the first three quarters in Tuesday night’s 75-29 dismantling of Canton-Galva in Heart of America League play.
Moundridge’s Daniel Ratzlaff led the charge, dumping 17 of his game high 20 points in the first half.
Hunter Enyart added 14 points, while Tyler Kaufman chipped in 11 for Moundridge, who scored a total of 31 field goals in the win.
Cody Savage led the Eagles with 17 points, 10 of which coming in the first quarter.
Moundridge travels to Inman Friday night, while Canton-Galva will host Sedgwick.
Little River 64
LITTLE RIVER — The Little River boys and Solomon battled back and forth Tuesday night, with the Redskins finally emerging with a 64-56 win.
Little River held a slight 13-12 advantage after the first quarter and a 19-9 second seemed to give the Redskins a comfortable lead heading into the third. Solomon, however, fought back in the frame, closing the gap to five at 49-44. Little River managed to hold on, though, for the win, in the fourth.
Dalton Konen led Little River with 13 points, followed by Tevin Renken and Chet Cordell, who both had 12.
Josh Burdine led all scorers with 20 points for Solomon. James Villalpando had 15 and Jordan Rangel added 11.
Little River is back at home Friday night, as they host Hope.
ELRYIA — Centre jumped out to a 20-8 first quarter lead and never looked back, defeating Elyria Christian 60-27 Tuesday.
Josh Nichols and Ethan Price led the Eagles in scoring with seven.
