McPherson College basketball player Kasey Miller has been selected for the 2012-13 Capital One Academic All-District Six men's basketball team as awarded by the College Sports Information Directors of America, CoSIDA.
Five players were chosen from district six out of over 50 nominees.
Miller, a senior guard for the Bulldogs, is having a solid season. He averages over 23 minutes of time on the court per game, third highest on the squad.
His defensive presence has picked up in recent games and Miller has always been a go-to three-point shooter for MC. Miller averages five points per game while hitting 31.9 percent of his field goals and has made 33 balls from long range, second highest on the team.
His season high came against Haskell Indian Nations in a double-overtime victory in the Baker University Classic.
"This is a tremendous honor for Kasey," Mac College coach Tim Swartzendruber said. "His work ethic and attitude are second to none. He has had a great career at McPherson College and we are extremely proud of him."
Following his graduation in May, Miller will attend physical therapy school.
