After conquering Class 4A in her senior season as a Bullpup, senior Tashely Snyder is setting her sights on the collegiate level, as she signed a letter of intent to play for MidAmerica Nazarene University this coming fall.

Snyder was a key member of an MHS squad that won the Class 4A championship on Oct. 27 in a three-set thriller against Topeka Hayden, gaining some revenge for a defeat at the hands of the Wildcats in pool play.

Snyder, who shifted from libero to right-side hitter in her senior season, will be joining the Pioneers a year after they went 29-5.

MNU made a run at the NAIA national championship that only ended at the hands of No. 4 Biola in the semifinals, snapping an 18-match winning streak.

She’ll be coached by third-year coach Kristen Steele, herself a hall of famer from the University of Central Oklahoma.
