INMAN — A 16-2 first quarter set the tone for Friday night’s Heart of America League game between Moundridge and Inman, with the Wildcats blasting the Teutons 56-23.
Moundridge only allowed nine first half points in the win, though the Teutons did try to fight their way back in with a 19-13 third quarter. The comeback was not to be, however, as the Wildcats held Inman to a single free throw in the final quarter.
MacKenzie Suderman led a trio of Wildcats in double digits with 17 points. Brooke Holloway had 14 and Michelle Schrag added 12.
Kaitlynn Goalden was the lone Teuton in double digits with 12 points.
CANTON — Sedgwick dominated the Lady Eagles from buzzer to buzzer, leading 27-10 after the first half on their way to a 52-24 win over Canton-Galva.
The Eagles never managed to score double digits in a quarter, the closest coming in the third, where they were able to make nine points.
Erika Smith led the way for Canton-Galva with seven points.
Annabelle Little led the Cardinals with 13 points.
Elyria Christian 46
ELYRIA — A 16-6 second quarter gave the Elyria Christian girls the boost they needed, as they downed Solomon 46-35 at home Friday night.
Elyria led 22-12 after the first half, and kept the momentum going throughout the second, though Solomon made a push in the fourth quarter, but it wasn’t enough.
Rachel Adamyk led the way with 13 points for the Eagles.
Little River 18
LITTLE RIVER — No one would mistake it for an offensive showcase Friday night, but the Hope Lions escaped Little River with a 29-18 win.
Samantha and Kasey Zeller led the Redskins with six points each.
