The Rails to Trails group will have informational meetings Saturday about the Meadowlark and Sunflower Santa Fe trails.
The group will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday in the community room at Bank of America, 118 N. Main St., Lindsborg and at 3 p.m. Saturday at the State Bank of Canton, 103 S. Main St., Canton.
Guest speakers will be Doug Walker, former Kansas state senator and vice president of the Kanza Rail Trail Conservancy, and Fred Guzek, PhD of K-State Salina. Walker will talk about trail building experiences on the Flint Hills Nature Trail, and Guzek will talk about the economic development opportunities in rural areas encouraged by trail development and use.
Following the meeting, a new Meadowlark Trail sign at the Lindsborg trailhead will be officially unveiled.
