Scripture: Numbers 8:1 The Lord said to Moses,
2 “Speak to Aaron and say to him, ‘When you set up the lamps, see that all seven light up the area in front of the lampstand.’”
3 Aaron did so; he set up the lamps so that they faced forward on the lampstand, just as the Lord commanded Moses. (NIV)
Observation: The Lord gave instructions to Moses. Moses relayed them to Aaron. Aaron did “just as the Lord commanded Moses.” It is part of God’s design for His body that we need each other in order to complete His plans. If we are unable to let others speak into our lives, we will fail to completely understand and fully accomplish God’s perfect plans for us.
Application: Although the emphasis in the New Testament is on a personal relationship with the Lord who dwells inside each believer, it is important for me to be able to hear what God is speaking to me through others.
Prayer: Lord, let there be no resentment or un-forgiveness in my heart that would hinder me from hearing what you would speak to me through others. Amen
