Grace Lutheran Women's Missionary League met in the parish hall Tuesday. The meeting was called to order by Sandy Bachofen. All members repeated the league pledge for opening devotions. Roll call was answered by six members and one guest, Beth Wiens. Pastor Dumperth led the Lutheran Women's Missionary League prayer service, “Joyful, Joyful” and the offering will go to Projects in Guinea recommended by the Guinea Task Force. Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
A thank you was passed for members to read from Concordia Theological Seminary, Ft. Wayne, Ind., and Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Mo. Peggy reported Ruth Ann and Peggy put in some new lights downstairs over quilting tables. Lu reported an inactive member has volunteered to take treats to the chemo patients and donate the cost of same. The group will host the Zone Spring Rally on April 20, at Grace Lutheran Church; Sandy asked for volunteers to cover all the jobs that need to be done. Peggy made a motion to have the in-gathering at a rally for Mt. Hope Sanctuary; Elsie seconded; carried. The appointed group has not completed the plan for hosting church dinners.
The next meeting will be March 19 with Peggy as hostess. Adjourned with the Lord’s Prayer. Hostess for the evening was Elsie Winter.
