Marlene Klepees will speak to the McPherson Aglow at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Cedars Wellness and Conference Center.
The first two years of Klepees’ life set the pace for the next several years — born with Cerebral Palsy, orphaned before the age of 2 and raised by great-grandparents. Because of the Cerebral Palsy, her vision, speech and motor skills were greatly affected. At the age of 5, she was finally able to walk with the aid of braces and a walker.
In December 1980, Klepees had seizures that lasted for two days. She had hit her head, which caused additional brain stem injuries. At 18, she was quadriplegic in a fetal position, and barely able to communicate. A total-care nursing home was the only option for her life. She was taken to Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., where God gave her a vision that he was going to heal her in three ways. During an interesting and at times funny series of events, the Lord was able to bring everything into line so that the miraculous could happen exactly as seen in her vision.
Since that day, Klepees has told her story on the Trinity Broadcasting Network, the 700 Club, and the Sid Roth Show. She has a burning desire to share the message that God’s healing power is for everyone.
