  • Lindsborg fire burns residence, kills 3 dogs

  • Lindsborg fire chief Kent Ebling reported a total loss of the structure. The roof of the structure was reportedly burned completely, the second floor suffered major fire damage and the first floor suffered water damage. The structure itself still stands.

  • At 1:03 p.m. Wednesday, EMS personnel, firefighters, and officers responded to a large residential fire at Chestnut and McPherson in Lindsborg.
    Lindsborg fire chief Kent Ebling reported a total loss of the structure. The roof of the structure was reportedly burned completely, the second floor suffered major fire damage and the first floor suffered water damage. The structure itself still stands.
    The resident of the structure was reportedly at work at the time, but three dogs were in the structure during the time of the fire. All three dogs burned in the blaze.
    The cause of the fire is not yet known, but Ebling reports that a space heater may have been the source.
