The McPherson County Commission reappointed Dianna Carter, county appraiser, to another four-year term during its regular meeting Tuesday.
Carter’s new term will begin July 1.
The commission also approved an annual agreement with the Land Conservation Fund for the operation of Memorial Park, which is west of the courthouse.
Funds were used from Land Conservation to make improvements at the park, so the city has to sign an annual Operation and Maintenance Statement assuring that it will properly maintain the park.
In other business, the commission:
• Approved $26,387 for the noxious weed department for the purchase of chemicals. The bids were awarded to Helena Chemical and Crop Production Services.
• Approved the hiring of a part-time equipment operator for the public works department.
