  • MHS students raise over $4,200 for Kaiden Schroeder

  • The fundraising efforts for the Kaiden Schroeder fund Tuesday night during the McPherson High Bullpups’ boys and girls sub-state games netted $4,279.29.
    Breaking down the numbers, the funds brought in from the gate collection, of which MHS donated 100 percent of their take, totalled $1,333.50.
    Cash donations for the purple “Kaiden Krusader” T-shirts designed by Kaiden’s cousin, Logan Schrag, game to $1,400. T-shirt sales, themselves brought in approximately $550 dollars.
    The MHS KAY Club Pennies for Kaiden collection garnered $486.79 dollars from the Roundhouse crowd. The MHS Stuco 50-50 opportunity to win drawing brought in $509, including the winnings from the drawing, as the individual donated the money back.
    The fundraiser went to benefit the family of Roosevelt Elementary School second grader Kaiden Schroeder, who is in Kansas City awaiting a bone marrow transplant as part of his treatment for Leukemia.
    Donations can still be made at People’s Bank and Trust.
