Both Wildcat teams advanced to the finals of the Moundridge Class 2A sub-state Friday, with the boys defeating Berean Academy 44-30, while the girls defeated Peabody-Burns 49-16.
A slow start in the first quarter by the Moundridge was negated by a 22-4 offering in the second period, spurred by a pair of three pointers from MacKenzie Suderman and one each from Tiffany Huxman and Michelle Schrag.
Peabody-Burns never really recovered, as Moundridge cruised into the finals.
Schrag finished with 11 points, while Suderman clocked in with 10.
