Elyria Christian girls advance to sub-state finals

The Elyria Christian School girls basketball team advanced to the finals of the Class 1A Div. II Sylvan-Lucas sub-state site Friday by virtue of a 36-25 win over host Sylvan-Lucas.

Freshman Rachel Adamyk led the Eagles with 11 points, while Anna Adamyk and Abby Fields both added nine for Elyria.

The win sets up a finals showdown tonight at 6 p.m. with top seed Wilson, who defeated Otis-Bison Friday 69-46.

Elyria is 14-7 on the year.
