Annie Walker and Cody Bacon, both of McPherson, were married Oct. 6, 2012, in an outdoor ceremony, in rural McPherson. Pastor Tim Holgerson officiated the double ring ceremony. Pastor Abby Jones served the couple communion. Annie was escorted by her father, Randy Walker.
The matron of honor was Abby Jones, Stromsburg, Neb., sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Janae Spaich, McPherson, sister of the groom; Anna Archer, Lawrence; Katie Kermashek, Manhattan; Stephanie Schulz, Lawrence; Mallory Roberts, McPherson.
Best man was Justin Bacon, Portsmouth, Va., cousin of the groom. Groomsmen were Levi Spaich, McPherson, brother of the groom; Caleb Spaich, McPherson, brother of the groom; Abe Walker, McPherson, brother of the bride; Drew Porter, McPherson.
Flower girls were Stella and Lucy Jones, Stromsburg, Neb., nieces of the bride. Guestbook attendants were Lauren McClelland and Allyssa Dold, both of Kansas City.
The brides personal attendant was Sarah Boese, McPherson, aunt of the bride.
Music was provided by Everett Boese and Black Kettle Bluegrass, grandfather of the bride. An outdoor reception and dance followed the ceremony.
The rehearsal dinner was at the Girl Scout cabin hosted by the groom's parents.
Following a wedding trip to Nashville, Tenn., the couple is at home in McPherson.
Annie is the daughter of Randy and Stephanie Walker, McPherson. She is a graduate of McPherson High School and Kansas State University with a bachelor’s degree in fine arts.
Cody is the son of Mike and Mary Spaich, McPherson and the late Ron Gingrich, Chapman.
He is a graduate of McPherson High School and is employed at Tulsa Inspection Resoures, Inc.
