  • Kelly Scott Dame, 45, of Las Vegas, passed away unexpectedly at 7:15 a.m., Saturday, March 2, at his home, Las Vegas.

  • Kelly Scott Dame, 45, of Las Vegas, passed away unexpectedly at 7:15 a.m., Saturday, March 2, at his home, Las Vegas.
    Kelly was born  on April 25, 1967, in Newton, the son of Roland Lee Dame and Sue Ellen (Krehbiel) Dame.
    Kelly attended the McPherson grade schools and graduated from McPherson High School.  He then attended and graduated from Kansas State University, Manhattan, where he received his bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering.
    Kelly was a member of Desert Springs United Methodist Church Las Vegas, and a former member of the First United Methodist Church, McPherson.
    Kelly was a mechanical engineer at exp. Las Vegas., since 1997 where he served as vice-president of exp.
    Kelly Dame was united in marriage to Shanda Allen on May 23,1992 at McPherson.
    Surviving family members include his wife, Shanda Dame, of Las Vegas; his children, Morgan, Kelsey, and Garrett Dame, all of Las Vegas; his father, Roland “Ronnie” Dame, of McPherson; his sisters, Diana, Hutchison and her husband Dan, of Topeka, and Susan Hawksworth and her husband David, of Salina; his nieces and nephews, Adam Hutchison, Paul Hawksworth, and Anna Hutchison; his father and mother-in-law, Gene and Janice Allen, of Hutchinson; several aunts and uncles, other relatives and a host of friends.
    Kelly was preceded in death by his mother, Sue Dame and a daughter, Shelby Dame.
    Friends are invited to call from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2013, with family present from 5 to 7 p.m. at Glidden-Ediger Chapel, McPherson.
    The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 14, 2013, at the First United Methodist Church, McPherson, with Reverend Michael Marion officiating.
    The final resting place will be at the McPherson Cemetery McPherson.
    In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Architectural Engineering Department at Kansas State University or American Cancer Society; and they can be sent in care of the Glidden-Ediger Funeral Home; 222 W. Euclid St.; McPherson, Kansas
