The opening day of KCAC play didn’t open the way McPherson College wanted, as the Bulldogs were swept 11-1 and 10-4 Friday at Bluejay Baseball Field.
The Bulldogs only trailed 2-1 after the first two innings, but Tabor scored one in the third, two in the second, and six in the fifth to run away with the win in game one.
McPherson only managed three hits in the game, with Keegan Bednasek driving in Zach Wilson for the Bulldogs’ only run of the game. Scott Hughes worked four innings for McPherson and took the loss.
The Blue Jays opened up with a four-run first inning to set the tone of game two in the 10-4 win.
McPherson was a little more productive on the offense, getting four runs on eight hits. Miller and Victor Betancourt both had two hits for McPherson. Nolan Huelsmann took the loss.
