  • The Tiger men got two big wins on Thursday over Southwestern College and Oklahoma Wesleyan.
Central Christian defeated the Moundbuilders in the morning match 5-4 and then followed it up with a 6-3 win over the Eagles in the afternoon.
Central coach Jeremy Nelson was pleased with his team's resilience.
"Today was a good day for our men,” Nelson said. “I am very impressed with our poise under pressure.
We knew both matches were winnable, but at the same time easily lost if we didn't play well. The guys responded to the pressure and we were able to secure two more team wins."
The Tiger men are now 3-4 on the season. They were to take on Southwestern Christian University on Friday in Bethany, Okla. before taking a week off for spring break Results were unavailable at presstime.
