  • Central Christian College went 2-2 over the weekend with Oklahoma Wesleyan University to open up MCAC play.
    After splitting the first two games of the series on Friday at Light Capital Diamond, the Tigers headed to Moundridge High School to close out the series on Saturday, winning game one 5-4  but dropping game two 7-5.
    Freshman Andrew Hightower took the win in game one, pitching a complete game and allowing four runs on six hits. He walked three and struck out five.
    Freshman Douglas Gove took the loss in game two, giving up the seven runs on 14 hits, walking one and striking out two.
    The Tigers move to 10-13 on the season, 2-2 in the MCAC. Central plays a pair of single, seven inning games today at Craig Ranch Collegiate Park in McKinney, Texas.
    They faced Northwestern Oklahoma State University this morning at 11 a.m. and then will face Dallas Christian College at 4 p.m. Results for the 11 a.m. game were unavailable at presstime.
