A McPherson man was sentenced Friday in McPherson County District Court on a charge of aggravated indecent liberties with a child.
K-Lea Quick, 21, of McPherson was sentenced by Judge Richard Walker to 59 months in prison with a possible 8.85 months of good time credit to be earned and a post release supervision period of 36 months on the charge.
The crime allegedly occurred Aug. 25 in McPherson. Quick was originally charged on Sept. 7 with rape or an alternative charge of aggravated indecent liberties with a child.
As part of a plea agreement, the rape charge was dropped, according to a press release issued by McPherson County Attorney David Page.
Quick entered a plea of no contest and was found guilty of the aggravated indecent liberties charge during a hearing on Dec. 14.
Quick also will be required to register as a sex offender for his lifetime.
At the conclusion of Friday’s hearing, Walker ordered the defendant into the custody of the McPherson County Sheriff to be delivered into the custody of the Department of Corrections to serve out his sentence.
