At 2:10 a.m. Friday, officers arrested Anthony Michael Brown, 31, of McPherson on charges of D.U.I. and racing on a roadway. Brown was released after posting a $1,421 bond.
At 9:53 a.m. Saturday, an officer took a report of theft that occurred sometime between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Friday, in the 1800 block of East Euclid. Stolen was a Mac Pro Laptop, valued at $1,500.
MARQUETTE —At 9:29 a.m. Saturday, firefighters responded to a report of a hay bale on fire at Highways 141 and K4. A local farmer was reportedly hauling hay in his truck when the exhaust caught the hay on fire. The farmer reportedly extinguished much of the fire before firefighters arrived on scene. Firefighters then unrolled the hay and extinguished the remaining fire. There were no injuries and no major damages to the vehicle.
