Perkins Restaurant, 2111 E. Kansas Ave. in McPherson, is hosting a fundraiser for the Christian Motorcyclists Association from 5 to 10 p.m. April 12. Ten percent of meals purchased that night will go toward the association’s Run for the Son world mission project.
The Christian Motorcyclists Association’s vision is “changing the world, one heart at a time” through outreach to bikers and other ministries with world-reaching potential. One hundred percent of money raised for Run for the Son goes to missions. Christian Motorcyclists Association is accredited by the Evangelical Free Church of America.
Twenty percent of funds raised go to Missionary Ventures International to purchase transportation for indigenous pastors in Third World countries. Twenty percent goes to Open Doors to provide Bibles to people in countries closed to the message of Jesus Christ as Savior. Twenty percent supports The JESUS Film Project, which takes the message of Jesus Christ to remote people around the world. The remaining 40 percent goes toward reaching motorcyclists throughout the United States and around the world through Christian Motorcyclists Association International.
