1. Why are you running for a position on local government?

I was encouraged by some local community members.

2. What do you think the role of local government should be?

Along with the other council members, help make policy and decisions effecting the present and future needs of our city.

3. What would be your goals if elected to a position on city government?

Our city has been and is currently managed very well. I would only hope to be able to come along beside the other members to continue to facilitate the current operations of our city.

4. What do you think is the greatest challenge facing your community at this time? How would you address it?

As all small towns go, we also have a need to grow. One of our challenges is to grow, not just for the sake of growth, but to do it responsibly, continuing to make our town a community where families want to live and see their children become active members of society. In order to see that kind of growth, we need to stimulate our local economy to the point of affecting our tax base so growth can take place.
