1. Why are you running for a position on local government?
As a lifelong resident of Marquette and a six year incumbent of the Marquette City Council, I feel a deep commitment for the continued well-being of the city. I am looking forward to not only maintaining the many positive things we enjoy about Marquette, but also the opportunities to strengthen current businesses and provide enhancements for new businesses for the city.
2. What do you think the role of local government should be?
Provide forward thinking leadership. Respond to the needs and input of citizens. Work within a budget. Improve Marquette’s position for new business and housing opportunities for the future.
3. What would be your goals if elected to a position on city government? Work to improve the position of Marquette to attract new businesses and housing opportunities for the city.
4. What do you think is the greatest challenge facing your community at this time? How would you address that challenge? Not only maintaining everything that makes Marquette a great place to live and to visit, but to actively seek ways and means to promote new industry, businesses and housing to the community.
