  • The scoring woes continued for Central Christian College, as they were dominated in both games of a Friday doubleheader with the top team in the MCAC.
    The Tigers fell to York College 16-0 in game one and 21-2 in game two.
    York scored in every inning of game one but the second, which included a seven-run fourth inning on their way to the shut-out win.
    Andrew Hightower picked up the loss after 3 2/3 innings of work Friday afternoon. He faced 18 batters, giving up 10 runs on six hits. He walked five and struck out one.
    An 11-run York College second inning sealed the fate of the Tigers in game two.
    Central Christian (11-23, 3-9 MCAC) managed a run in each of the second and fourth innings, with Troy Richter and Tyler Gniadek each picking up an RBI. Andrew Kroeker was credited with the loss in his one inning of work. He faced 12 batters, though, giving up 11 runs on nine hits.
    York (25-7, 10-0 MCAC) scored their 21 runs off 25 hits.
    Central Christian will be back on the road Tuesday for a doubleheader against Manhattan Christian College. First pitch is slated for 3 p.m.
