A former McPherson College football player entered into a plea agreement Tuesday in McPherson County District Court in the case of the Sept. 16 death of a Tabor College football player.
Dequinte O. Flournoy, 20, of California, pleaded no contest to a charge of aiding and abetting the aggravated battery of Brandon Brown as a part of that plea agreement.
Brown was beaten at an off-campus party in McPherson. He died as result of his injuries.
As part of a plea agreement, Flournoy agreed to testify against his co-defendant, Alton Franklin, whose trial is set to begin Monday on a charge of aiding and abetting second degree murder.
According to McPherson County Attorney David Page, Flournoy has no criminal record and will be eligible for probation.
