Southwestern defeated the Tiger men 5-4, while the Swathers won an exhibition match 6-3.
The Tigers had a good showing from Mark Gayer and Dylon Neal against Hesston. The duo combined at No. 1 doubles for a win, then Gayer picked up a singles match, as well.
The women were defeated by Southwestern 8-1 and by Hesston 7-2.
Central senior Kristen Reith went 3-1 on the day, winning singles matches against Southwestern and Hesston and picking up a No. 1 doubles win with partner Tori McCord against Hesston.
Next action for both teams is against McPherson College on April 11 at McPherson High School.
