At 6:06 a.m. Wednesday, firefighters responded to a report of a tree on fire in the 1600 block of North Maxwell. A tree limb had reportedly fallen onto a power line and caught fire. The rain put out the fire before firefighters arrived. BPU was advised of the limb, and cleared the limb from the power line.
At 6:44 p.m. Wednesday, deputies, firefighters and EMS personnel responded to an injury rollover accident that occurred on Highway K153, MP 1.3. The accident involved Sean Lee Hill of McPherson. Hill was reportedly going into a turn when the vehicle slid and rolled over into a ditch. He was transported to McPherson Hospital by EMS personnel. The extent of his injuries are not known at this time.
MARQUETTE —At 3:13 a.m. Wednesday, firefighters responded to a power line on fire in the 100 block of South Central. Found were some tree branches that fell on the power line, catching on fire. Firefighters sprayed the branches. The branches reportedly fell through the power line. Westar then trimmed the branches and removed them.

CANTON — At 3:14 a.m. Wednesday, firefighters responded to a power line fire at Main and Railroad. Some tree limbs reportedly caught on the power lines and caught on fire. The rain put the fire out. Westar trimmed the branches and removed them from the line.

CANTON —At 4:58 a.m. Wednesday, firefighters responded to a transformer fire in the 100 block of East Marion. Found was an arcing power line that had caught fire to a pole. The rain put the fire out. Westar was advised, and took care of the situation.
