Lindsborg will host a Flower Power event from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 2.
Visit businesses across town for groovy prizes, cool sidewalk events and sales, food for the people and all things 1960s.
Events will include:
-- Chalk art on Main Street -- chalk purchased from 4-H who will run event.
-- Lindsborg Greenhouse open house, complimentary pulled pork barbeque from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
-- Swedish Dancers sidewalk bake sale
-- Kappa Gamma Phi sorority Ponytail Drive from 11 a.m. 3 p.m.; Free haircuts for cancer. My Barber Shop, Family Hair Studio, Artistic Hair and Nail Design.
-- Lindsborg Community Library sidewalk sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
-- Good Merchant serving Peace Tea, sidewalk sale.
-- Turner Photography/Brick Street Gallery with "your face in the flower" snapshots.
-- Small World Gallery with "special" brownies; in-house drawings.
-- Bouquet Shoppe with glitter tattoos and fresh daisies
-- Hippie Bus in 100 block South Main; radio remote stationed there, 98.5 Oldies, KSAJ.
-- Open Mic at White Peacock -- poetry and music, 2 to 4 p.m.
-- Psychedelic painting by Randy Clark, outside Courtyard Gallery.
-- Bank of Tescott--handing out cardboard houses that sprout flowers from seeds from 8:30 a.m. noon the at bank; then on the street
