A semi carrying coke rolled on its side while exiting onto the Kansas Highway 153 spur about 3 p.m. Thursday.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported the semi was going too fast for conditions. No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
The driver, Billy Everly, 53, of Augusta was taken to McPherson Hospital with serious injuries, according Kansas Highway Patrol and EMS reports.
The semi spilled its load when it overturned. The ramp the semi was on closed for a time Thursday while the semi was being removed and the coke cleaned up.
